Session 1904 December 15, 2003 PROVIDING A PENALTY. The bill was given its second reading. The bill was given its third reading. Mr. Sharpe moved approval and Mr. Munkel seconded the motion. Ms. Welsch asked for amplification of the meaning of this measure, and was advised by Mr. Ollednorff that it deletes a fee which has not been used for over thirty years. The books list a fee, stating it purpose is voluntarily if a residents wants to have an apartment building inspected before assuming residency. Since there is a current requirement to have premises inspected and to pay a designated fee, what the fee in the measure is, is in question. It probably pre- dates mandatory inspections and it causes confusion. Deletion will insure clarification. The roll call vote was as follows: AYES: Mr. Lieberman, Ms. Welsch, Mr. Sharpe, Ms. Colquitt, Mr. Munkel, Mr. Wagner and Mayor Adams. NAYS: none. BILL 8703 - LEVYING A SPECIAL ASSESSMENT OR TAX AGAINST PROPERTY IN A BENEFIT DISTRICT FOR THE PUBLIC IMPROVEMENT OF MENDELL-SEVENTY NINTH STORM CHANNEL, AND DIRECTING THE ISSUANCE OF SPECIAL TAX BILLS.
