Gideon Program for $3,000 <br />? <br /> Recycling Grant for single cycle carts increasing revenue and expenditure by <br />$90,000 <br />? <br /> Move $30,000 accounting system software package for delinquent parking <br />tickets to the FY 10 budget from the FY 09 budget. <br /> <br /> <br />CITIZEN COMMENTS <br />Nova Felton, 8031 Noel Ct. <br />Ms. Felton asked the City to require the Fire Chief to live in University City from St. <br />Charles County which is more than 60 miles away, thus costing the City in gasoline and <br />in vehicle maintenance. She also asked that all City vehicles be turned off instead of <br />just idling which would save additional money. <br /> <br />Elsie Glickert, 6712 Etzel <br />Ms. Glickert said that there are ordinances requiring department heads to live in <br />University City. She also inquired as to why the salary ranges of City personnel were <br />left out of the proposed FY 09 Budget book and would like to see them reinstated. She <br />asked for more transparency in the budget books. <br /> <br />Stefany Brot, 8145 Cornell Ct.. <br />Ms. Brot gave the following suggestions to improved University City’s budget <br />? <br /> More policing with larger fines for violation of cars not allowing pedestrians to walk in <br />designated cross walks. <br />? <br /> Increase number of times residents will be informed of the advantage of recycling <br />? <br /> Try to increase trash service by soliciting businesses and apartments not presently <br />using the service <br />? <br /> Patrol and fine speeders on Delmar <br />? <br /> Try tax increase for City’s fire and police departments <br />? <br /> Decrease Council’s travel budget for food reimbursement during travel <br />? <br /> Limit the number of trips of the UCity Mayor to two trips per year. <br />? <br /> Promote local professional training for all Councilmembers <br />? <br /> Promote “green” by eliminating duplication of previously sent bills to Council <br /> <br />Richard Docket, 9844 Crest Ave, <br />Mr. Dockett felt there was an upper management problem and needed to be examined <br />as to position necessity and equal racial representation. <br /> <br />Derrick Coley, 7365 Drexel <br />Mr. Coley was not able to stay to speak but turned in a comment sheet with concern <br />about the school district use of the City’s stage and its cost increased proposed. <br /> <br />Anne Marie Kiddon, 7348 Wellington Ave. <br />Ms. Kiddon would like to opening of the pool to have longer hours at the start of the <br />season. She stated that the new residents that moved in on her street did not get <br />information on the swimming pool and Ruth Park Golf Course and a free pass to each. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />
