Mayor Adams asked the Council that further discussion be postponed until a <br />survey and the meeting of residents in section 10 had taken place. <br />Ms. Feier received a consensus of the Council to move forward with the City <br />sending a letter to give notice to the residents in section 10, ofthe Public Meeting <br />and also include a survey for them to complete and return. <br />5. Council Meetings for 2009. <br />Ms. Feier presented a calendar of Council meeting dates for the year 2009 for <br />approval. <br />Ms. Ricci asked for a couple more budget study sessions be added to the <br />calendar. <br />Mr. Glickert agreed with Ms. Ricci based on the past budget study. He felt it <br />should be started earlier also. Mr. Glickert moved to add April 23 and June 4 <br />budget study sessions to the 2009 calendar. Ms. Ricci seconded the motion and <br />was approved unanimously. <br />Mr. Price moved to approve the calendar with the two additions, seconded by Mr. <br />Glickert and was approved unanimously. <br />J. UNFINISHED BUSINESS <br /> None <br />K. NEW BUSINESS <br />Mayor Adams stated that two additional bills were being presented to the Council <br />being the same as the two bills on the Council’s agenda, but the new bills contained <br />an Emergency Clause. The Council agreed to add the two new bills to the agenda. <br />Bills 9002 and 9003 were removed and replaced with Bills 9004 and 9005. <br />Ms. Ricci asked to make a record of the fact that Council and community had been <br />provided with the property tax issues without an emergency clause prior to the <br />meeting. City’s attorney Mr. Mulligan, approved the adding of the two new bills <br />containing an emergency clause even though rule eleven of the Council’s Rules and <br />Regulations requires a 24 hour notice. <br />BILLS <br />Mr. Wagner introduced <br />1.Bill 9004 - An ordinance ordering the levy and fixing the rate of property <br />taxes to be collected in the City of University City for the year 2008 to <br />provide for General Revenue, Police and Firefighter Retirement, General <br />Obligation Bond Debt Service, and for the University City Loop Special <br />Business District and the Parkview Garden Special Taxing District; <br />containing an Emergency Clause. <br />Bill 9004 had an Emergency Clause and had all three readings. <br />Mr. Wagner moved for approval and was seconded by Mr. Sharpe, Jr. <br /> <br />
