Nate Scudieri, 7366 Northmoor Dr.
Mr. Scudieri asked to Council to consider where the problem is. He was told that
only the pumper fire truck cannot get down the street and garbage trucks have
no problem. Mr. Scudieri would also like to see the official measurements.

Rod Harkey, 7207 Northmoor
Mr. Harkey stated he has not seen any measurements and he would like to see
them. He would like specific areas be dealt with, where a measurement showed
a lack of room for proper safety. Mr. Harkey also noted the lack of parking
spaces presently and would only be heightened with any restrictions.

Mr. Wagner stated that he has received many calls and his assessment is that
there is a problem that needs to be solved. He felt that to limit the parking to one
side is an over kill of the selected problem areas. Mr. Wagner wanted Council to
look at selective points and find a solution for the particular areas only. Mr.
Wagner urged the residents to consider residential parking restriction on their
own, if there is a problem with lack of parking from too many commuter parkers
and such. He stated he wanted the residents to become more involved in the
solution.

City Manager Julie Feier stated she would follow up with Ms. Dolan and arrange
for a meeting at the Our Lady of Lourdes. At this time she would also look at an
overview of the entire neighborhood. Ms. Feier stated that safety will trump any
parking concerns.

Mr. Glickert asked for police officers to patrol Northmoor area to slow down
drivers cutting through. He suggested the possibility of alternate parking only at
the critical points.

Mr. Sharpe spoke as the Traffic Commission liaison where either a trash truck or
a fire truck had damaged an automobile’s side mirror while traveling down
Northmoor. He asked the City Manager to furnish this measurement for review.

Mr. Crow suggested that Council and City sit down with the residents at possibly
Our Lady of Lourdes to provide the photos and the measurements, and solve the
problem of the narrow patches of the street.

Mr. Price asked to defer to Councilmembers of the area to come up with a
solution.

4. Nancy MacCartney reviewed the City’s Parks’ Master Plan adopted by the Parks
Commission on November 25, 2008. Washington University has been asked to
assist the City with the next phase of planning for the three parks in Parkview
Gardens: Eastgate, Metcalf and Ackert Walkway. If the proposed landscape by
architect John Hoal is approved, Washington University will fund the next phase
of the park planning process. It will begin with meetings for stakeholders in the
neighborhood to develop a long-term vision for the parks, in concert with the
Centennial Greenway. The City Manager asked for Council’s approval which
could then be used for future grant applications. Ms. MacCartney said the
criteria used were: what it looks like, its standards and needs and lastly to
evaluate the park against these standards and needs for immediate and long
