By comparison, the nation as a whole grew nine- <br />tenths of a percent; the Kansas City Metropolitan Statistical Area grew by just over one <br />percent. Locally, St. Charles County added the most people, with 6,200 new residents <br />and Franklin County passed the 100,000-population milestone.
