Session 1915 <br />March 29, 2004 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION - Support for Federal Transportation Reauthorization <br /> <br />Mr. Munkel moved to adopt a Resolution supporting federal transportation <br />reauthorization, and Mr. Wagner seconded the motion and it passed unanimously. <br /> <br />PROCLAMATION - Delmar-Harvard Elementary School <br /> <br />Ms. Welsch introduced a Proclamation for Delmar-Harvard Elementary School, the first <br />school constructed in University City, which celebrates its first 90 years on May 2, 2004. <br />This Proclamation designates that day as Delmar-Harvard Elementary School Day. It <br />was seconded by Mr. Wagner, and passed unanimously. <br /> <br />PROCLAMATION - Day of Remembrance for the Holocaust Memorial <br /> <br />Mr. Munkel moved to adopt a Proclamation in memory of the victims of the Holocaust <br />and in honor of survivors as well as rescuers and liberators, naming the week of April <br />18th through April 25th, as Days of Remembrance. Ms. Welsch seconded the motion <br />and it passed unanimously. <br /> <br />Mr. Munkel and Mayor Adams both encouraged citizens of University City to visit the <br />Holocaust Museum in Washington, D.C., which commemorates this horrifying episode <br />in twentieth-century history. <br /> <br />PROCLAMATION -April 15th, 2004 as Betty Thompson Day <br /> <br />Mr. Sharpe moved to adopt a Proclamation naming April 15, 2004 as Betty Thompson <br />Day, in honor of our State Representative, who will be honored in Jefferson City that <br />day for her outstanding contributions to Missouri. Mr. Lieberman seconded the motion <br />and it passed unanimously. <br /> <br />AGENDA ITEM #1 - Consent Calendar <br /> <br />Mr. Ollendorff said there was only one item on the Consent Calendar because the <br />second item had been removed for discussion. <br /> <br />Tennis Court Resurfacinq <br /> <br />Invitations to Bid were sent to five construction companies for proposals to resurface the <br />four north tennis courts at Heman Park. $12,000 was set aside in the budget for this <br />project.
