Session 1930
July 26, 2004

Mr. Sharpe moved to adopt the consent calendar. Ms. Welsch seconded the motion
which carried unanimously.

Recreation Fees

Mr. Ollendorff agreed with the fees recommended by the Park Commission for After
School Programs and new programs and request Council approval. All fees are in
accordance with Fee Policies previously adopted by Council.

Ms. Welsch moved approval. Mr. Sharpe seconded.

Ms. Brungardt wondered if the children targeted by this proposal weren't already
receiving reduced lunches from the school district. She feels that if the Park
commissioners would have had this information prior to their vote, they may have voted
differently. Ms. Colquitt also wanted to know what the requirements of the Park
scholarship were and if it required additional paperwork to be filed, which she did not
wish to support.

Ms. Brungardt moved to send this item back to the Park commission with any
information that they could review that proved that these children were receiving
reduced lunches at school. Ms. Colquitt seconded the motion, which carried
unanimously.

7000 Waterman Permit Parkinq

Mr. Ollendorff concurred with the Traffic Commission recommendation that Council
approve residential permit parking designation for the 7000 block of Waterman from 8
a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday - Friday except Holidays.

Ms. Brot reported that Mr. Wagner had asked that this be pulled in case of any
discussion by any interested citizens or to clarify any information on the project. There
were no such requests.

Ms. Welsch moved approval. Ms. Brot seconded the motion, which carried
unanimously.

A,qenda Item #2 - Public Hearinq Zonin,q Text on Temporary Si,qns

A public hearing has been called for 7:30 P.M. in these Council Chambers on a
proposed amendment to the zoning ordinance which allows greater flexibility for use of
40 calendar days each year for businesses to set up temporary promotional signs. Mr.
Ollendorff said that the required fifteen day time for publication of the public hearing was
not given, therefore; an additional public hearing on this issue will be scheduled at the
next council meeting, August 16, 2004 at 7:30 p.m.
Page 3
