The <br />changes include alternative materials which are less expensive but equally <br />acceptable; deletion of marginal items found not to be necessary for a high <br />quality product; and deleting lower priority items which can easily be added later <br />when and if fund are available. The recommended changes result from <br />cooperative extra effort by Park Department staff, Jacobs' design team, and the <br />contractor K and S, Inc. <br /> <br />Mr. Sharpe moved approval. Ms. Brot seconded the motion. <br /> <br />Mr. Ollendorff reported that Mr. Wagner had asked for more information on items <br /># 9, 13, 15, 16, and 17. Mr. Wagner had mentioned to him that the others looked <br />fine to him. <br /> <br />Ms. Welsch said that she would like to see more information on items # 6 and # <br />18. She would really like to see a central control for HVAC. <br /> <br />Ms. Brot said she would like to see more info on item #2. <br /> <br />All Change Orders were approved unanimously, except for items #2, 6, 9, 13, 15, <br />16, 17 and 18, which Mr. Ollendorff will gather more information on for Council to <br />review before they will be approved. <br /> <br />A.qenda Item #5 - Public Hearinq on University Park #2 Improvement Project <br /> <br />A public hearing has been scheduled for 7:30 P.M. for comments on the project <br />to improve the streets of University Park #2 in accordance with the petition by <br />property owners. The City Council has accepted the petition last fall and directed <br />that the plans and specification be prepared and a contractor selected to carry <br />out this project. All this has been done and final resolution may be adopted <br />following consideration of public hearing comments. Final assessments will be <br />determined by the City Council upon completion of the project and certification of <br />all cost. At that time the City Council will also determine the interest rate which <br />may not exceed 8 per cent and the number of years for payment which may not <br />exceed 20. <br /> <br />Mayor Adams opened the public hearing at 7:50 p.m. <br /> <br />Mike Giger, 830 Vanderbilt, one of the U.
