The City ~ianager replied negatively. Councilman Stake moved that a public heariDg be scheduled for February 15, 1960, at 8 o'clock P.11. on both agenda items 3 and 4. Motion seconded by Councilman Soule. At this juncture, Mayor Kaufman requested the City Manager to comment on agenda item number 4. Mayor Kaufman suggested that although he does not believe there will be any objections, in the event there is an objection on any one of these items, it may be well to vote on these items independently. Councilman Stake suggested that all members of the Traffic Commission be notified of the public hearing and invited to be present. Councilman Stake called for the question. Councilman Soule suggested that there are sorae schools and churches which may abut on some of these properties and he said he thinks they should be notified as well as trustees of the subdivisions affected and the University City Chamber of Commerce. Mayor Kaufman stated that a list of PTA organizations and trustees is available, but it would be very difficult to attempt to notify all property owners on HcKnight Road from Delmar Boulevard to Olive Boulevard because of the apart- ments. Upon vote, the motion was unanimously carried. REPORT OF TRAFFIC COPR4ISSION ON CONGESTED DISTRICTS: Agenda item number 4 was a report from the Traffic Commission, dated January 21, 1960, recommending amendments to the Municipal Code of 1950, extending or deleting certain congested districts, as follows: Designated congested districts to be eliminated: Bartmer Avenue from the Eastern City Limits to Sutter Avenue Big Bend Boulevard from north side of alley north of Pershing Avenue to Westmoreland Drive Olive Boulevard from a point 500 feet east of North & South Boulevard (south) to a point 500 feet west of North & South Boulevard (north) Olive Boulevard from Ferguson Avenue to the easterly city limits Designated congested districts to remain: Forsyth Boulevard from the western city limits to Manhattan Avenue Delmar Boulevard from the east line of Big Bend Boulevard to the easterly City Limits At the request of Mayor Kaufman, this matter was reviewed by the City Manager. The City Manager recommended that action be taken as soon as possible in having a public hearing on t.~s matter, or, if the Council so desires, to have the appropriate ordinances prepared. Councilman Stake moved that a public hearing be set for February 15, 1960, at 8 o'clock P.M. Motion seconded by Councilman Baris, and unanimously carried.
