LEO I~2.~R): <br />Mayor Kaufman stated that a cor.~nunication has been received (read earlier <br />by the City Clerk) from the attorney representing Mrs. Leo Kramer, and <br />the Mayor inquired as to the pleasure of the Council. <br /> <br />Councilman Stake moved that this matter be continued for two weeks. Council- <br />man Tandler, the Council representative on the City Plan Commission, sug- <br />gested that in light of objections raised by persons appearing in oppposition <br />to this matter at a public hearing held by the City Plan Commission, all <br />property owners within a radius of 185 feet of the property involved should <br />be notified that this matter will be on the agenda of the Council on <br />February 1, 1960. Further, he stated that a number of residents who ap- <br />peared at the meeting of the City Plan Commission had asked to be notified <br />as to when the matter would be before the Council. <br /> <br />Councilman Stake amended his motion accordingly. Motion seconded by Council- <br />man Lahznnann and unanimously carried. <br /> <br />APPLICATION OF MR.. JACOB RUDIU FOR CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT FOR A GASOLII, IE <br />DISPEI.ISING SERVICE STATIOI'~ AT KIi,~G KAR WASH: <br /> <br />I~ayor Kaufman stated that a communication has been received (read earlier <br />by the City Clerk) from Mr. C. C. Singer, representing King Kar Wash, <br />Olive Boulevard and Grant Drive, requesting that this matter be deferred. <br />The i~ayor inquired as to the pleasure of the Council. <br /> <br />Councilman Soule moved that this matter be continued for two weeks - until <br />February 1, 1960, and affected property owners notified accordingly. Motion <br />seconded by Councilman Stake and unanimously carried. <br /> <br />REQUEST OF PIONEER WOI~I~'S OP~ANIZATION: <br />This matter was reviewed by Mayor Kaufman. Following discussion, Councilman <br />Soule moved that the Council approve request of the Pioneer Women's Organiza- <br />tion of St. Louis to solicit advertisements to be printed in their Year Book-- <br />solicitations to be limited to Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday of each week, <br />starting January 20 through February 20, 1960. Motion seconded by Councilman <br />Tandler and unanimously carried. <br /> <br />PUBLIC HEARING - APPLICATION FOR REZONING PRESEHTED BY THE GEP~LD A. WEISS <br />RE;~TY COMPANY: <br /> <br />Mayor Kaufman announced that a public hearing has been scheduled on this <br />application, pursuant to provisions of the City Charter, and at the request <br />of the Mayor, City Manager Henry reviewed the matter. <br /> <br />Mr. Gene Portman, attorney, representing the applicant, the Gerald A. Weiss <br />Realty Company, asked to be recognized, which request was granted. Mr. <br />Portman stated he also represents the owner, Mr. J. Bardenheir, and the <br />holder of an option to purchase the property in question, the Allstate <br />Realty and Construction Company. <br /> <br />In response to questions by Councilman Lahrmann and Councilman Soule concern- <br />ing sufficient parking area, ~lr.
