APPLICATIOM FOR CONDITIOI'~AL USE PERMIT TO OPERATE A NURSING HOME AT 712 KII.~GSL~'~D AVE~E-~MRS. LEO I~2.~R): Mayor Kaufman stated that a cor.~nunication has been received (read earlier by the City Clerk) from the attorney representing Mrs. Leo Kramer, and the Mayor inquired as to the pleasure of the Council. Councilman Stake moved that this matter be continued for two weeks. Council- man Tandler, the Council representative on the City Plan Commission, sug- gested that in light of objections raised by persons appearing in oppposition to this matter at a public hearing held by the City Plan Commission, all property owners within a radius of 185 feet of the property involved should be notified that this matter will be on the agenda of the Council on February 1, 1960. Further, he stated that a number of residents who ap- peared at the meeting of the City Plan Commission had asked to be notified as to when the matter would be before the Council. Councilman Stake amended his motion accordingly. Motion seconded by Council- man Lahznnann and unanimously carried. APPLICATION OF MR.. JACOB RUDIU FOR CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT FOR A GASOLII, IE DISPEI.ISING SERVICE STATIOI'~ AT KIi,~G KAR WASH: I~ayor Kaufman stated that a communication has been received (read earlier by the City Clerk) from Mr. C. C. Singer, representing King Kar Wash, Olive Boulevard and Grant Drive, requesting that this matter be deferred. The i~ayor inquired as to the pleasure of the Council. Councilman Soule moved that this matter be continued for two weeks - until February 1, 1960, and affected property owners notified accordingly. Motion seconded by Councilman Stake and unanimously carried. REQUEST OF PIONEER WOI~I~'S OP~ANIZATION: This matter was reviewed by Mayor Kaufman. Following discussion, Councilman Soule moved that the Council approve request of the Pioneer Women's Organiza- tion of St. Louis to solicit advertisements to be printed in their Year Book-- solicitations to be limited to Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday of each week, starting January 20 through February 20, 1960. Motion seconded by Councilman Tandler and unanimously carried. PUBLIC HEARING - APPLICATION FOR REZONING PRESEHTED BY THE GEP~LD A. WEISS RE;~TY COMPANY: Mayor Kaufman announced that a public hearing has been scheduled on this application, pursuant to provisions of the City Charter, and at the request of the Mayor, City Manager Henry reviewed the matter. Mr. Gene Portman, attorney, representing the applicant, the Gerald A. Weiss Realty Company, asked to be recognized, which request was granted. Mr. Portman stated he also represents the owner, Mr. J. Bardenheir, and the holder of an option to purchase the property in question, the Allstate Realty and Construction Company. In response to questions by Councilman Lahrmann and Councilman Soule concern- ing sufficient parking area, ~lr. Portman stated that there will be adequate
