There was substantial dis- <br />cussion. Councilman ¥~erner then moved that 2 Police Officers be added and <br />at the same time two Police Cadets ba eliminated. ~tion was seconded by <br />Councilman Grimm. l.~r. Ellman explained this would mean an additional cost <br />of approximately $10,000 in the budget in the 2010 Account. Upon vote, all <br />members of the Council voted AYE with the exception of Councilman Ueissen- <br />burger~ who voted t~AY. The motion carried. <br /> <br />In consideration of the total size of the Budget, the City l-[anager recom- <br />mended that an additional $15,000 should be placed in the Contingency Ap- <br />propriation Account No. 6010.1. Councilman Lieberman moved approval. ~e <br />motion was seconded by Councilman Grimm and unanimously carried. <br /> <br />Councilman Glickert moved that the Residency Allowance be increased by $20 <br />a month, to a total of $80. I~yor Kaufman observed that the administrative <br />forces have been requested to prepare some statistics on this for the <br />Council's consideration. Councilman Uerner said he would like to see the <br />I~ayor's suggestion of a study to be made, following which a decision can be <br />made by the Council. I~. Ellman suggested that another $10,000 be put in <br />the Contingency Fund for this. Councilman Glickert moved that an additional <br />$10~000 be added to the Contingency Fund. !lotion was seconded by Council- <br />man Lieberman. Upon vote, all members voted AYE with the excepticn of <br />Councilman Weissenburger who voted NAY° The motion therefore carried. <br /> <br />Following discussion: Councilman Glickert said she feels that two changes <br />should be effected: one would provide for additional stenographic service <br />in the Human Resources Department, totaling $310 for Account 1013-2 and <br />also, $250 should be placed in the Council account 1010-2 to supplement <br />the advertising program of the City. She moved accordingly. ~.~tion was <br />seconded by Councilman Werner and unanimously carried. <br /> <br />City I~nager Ilenry stated that because the number of issues of the Community <br />Newspaper had been increased, there should be an adjustment in the compensa- <br />tion for ~Ir. Wells for this extra service. He said that an amount of $250 <br />should be inserted in the budget in Account 1013-2. Councilman I,~erner <br />moved approval. ~tion was seconded by Councilman Glickert and unanimously <br />carried. <br /> <br />~%e City l~nager noted that because the bid proposals for the furnishing of <br />aggregate spreaders were not acceptable earlier by the Council that the <br />cost of $7,000 should be placed in next year's budget under Account 2620-4. <br />This was satisfactory to the Council. <br /> <br />The City I~nager also pointed out that in order to complete repair of <br />Housing under the city-school program, $10,000 should be placed under <br />Account 2640-2 for the completion of this project. ~fotion to approve was <br />made by Councilman Adams, seconded by Councilman Glickert, and unanimously <br />carried. <br /> <br />As a consequence of the above changes, the budget totaled $6,622,906. <br /> <br />Councilman Nerner moved that the memo of June 13, 1975, including the changes, <br />be approved. Motion was seconded by Councilman ~issenburger and unanimously <br />carried. <br /> <br />Councilman Lieberman inquired as to what is contemplated in terms of deleting <br /> <br /> <br />
