Notion seconded <br />by Councilman Woods, and carried. I. <br /> <br />Councilman Glickert said she had previously brought up the necessity for pur- <br />chasing a podium for the Council Chamber which would be helpful to citizens <br />in addressing the Council, but did not see it included in the Budget. After <br />some discussion, it was moved that $200 be added to Account 1000E for this <br />purpose. ~otion seconded by Councilman Woods and unanimously carried. <br /> <br />Councilman Weissenburger moved that the City Manager's salary for the fiscal <br />year 1974-75 be adjusted to $27,456 (regular salary) and $1,595 (deferred <br />compensation). Motion seconded by Councilman Glickert and unanimously <br />carried. <br /> <br />Councilman Woods moved approval of the Expenditure Appropriations as amended <br />in accordance with Mr. Ellman's memorandum of June 26th. Motion seconded by <br />Councilman Werner and unanimously carried. <br /> <br />Councilman Weissenburger moved adoption of the Budget as presented with the <br />various changes made this evening and in past meetings. Motion seconded by <br />Councilman Glickert. Upon inquiry by the Mayor whether any member of the <br />public wishes to speak to the issue, there was no response. Upon vote, the <br />motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />BID PROPOSALS - TRACTOR: <br />City Manager Henry reviewed bid proposals which hsve been received for the <br />furnishing of a tractor to be used for weed mowing among other purposes; an <br />allowance was asked for a 1958 tractor. The administrative forces recommend- <br />ed that contract be awarded to Brinker Tractor Sales in the l~et amount of <br />$5,742.00~ for Model 20 Turf Tractor, this being the lowest and best bid. <br /> <br />Following some discussion, it was moved by Councilman ~issenburger, second- <br />ed by Councilman Woods and unanimously carried, that the recommendation of <br />the administrative forces be approved and that contract be awarded to Brinker <br />Tractor Sales in the Net amount of $5,742.00, this being the lowest and best <br />bid. <br /> <br />BID PROPOSALS - 1974 TRUCK CI~ASSIS: <br />The City Manager reviewed bid proposals which have been received for the <br />furnishing of a 1974 Truck Chassis and Cab for animal control purposes. The <br />administrative forces recommended that contract be awarded to Kribs Ford <br />City for a 1974 Ford F-100 at $3,072.00, this being the lowest and best bid. <br /> <br />Councilman Lieberman raised numerous questions which were answered by City <br />Manager Henry and Mr. V. A. Ellman (Director of Finance). The City b~nager <br />explained that there will be a separate bid on the body itself. Councilman <br />Lieberman inquired whether the Dodge pick-up had intentionally been omitted <br />and City Manager Henry said he would obtain this information. Councilman <br />Lieberman suggested that a spot-light be added for use of the truck at night. <br />There was some discussion of the colors, and City ~.~anager Henry said that <br />consideration is being given to eventually changing the color of City ve- <br />hicles for safety reasons. <br /> <br />Councilman Weissenburger moved that the recommendation of the administrative <br />forces be approved and that contract be awarded to Kribs Ford City for a <br />1974 Ford F-100 in the amount of $3,072.00, this being the lowest and best <br />bid.
