Special Session 1079, ~inutes <br />June 26, 1974 <br /> <br />Page <br /> <br />suggested by Councilman Lieberman that in the future the specifications be <br />written in a manner so that all companies can bid. <br /> <br />BID PROPOSALS - GASOLINE AlqD DIESEL FUEL: <br />City Manager Henry reviewed bid proposals which have been received for the <br />furnishing of the gasoline and diesel requirements for the City for the year <br />ending June 30, 1975. The administrative forces recommended that the con- <br />tract be awarded to C. M. Spiegel on the following basis: <br /> <br />Regular <br />Tankwagon $0.385 <br />Transport 0.365 <br /> <br />Premium <br /> Tankwagon 0.41 <br /> <br />Diesel <br /> Tankwagon 0.335 <br /> <br />(The estimated value of the contract as of the new year is $94,363.) <br /> <br />Following general discussion, Councilman Glickert moved that the recommenda- <br />tion of the administrative forces be approved and that contract be awarded <br />to C. M. Spiegel on the basis set forth above. Motion seconded by Council- <br />man Woods and unanimously carried. <br /> <br />BID PROPOSALS - ASPHALTIC OILS: <br />The City Manager reviewed a bid proposal for the furnishing of 2,000 gallons <br />of cut-back asphalt, 5,000 gallons of penetration asphalt, and 30,000 gallons <br />of cationic emulsion asphalt in the total amount of $11,285.00. This bid <br />was received from the l~ssouri Petroleum Company, which was the only company <br />that submitted a proposal. <br /> <br />Following discussion, Councilman Werner moved that the contract be awarded <br />to Missouri Petroleum Company in the total amount of $11,285.00, as set out <br />in agenda item number 5. Motion seconded by Councilman Glickert and unani- <br />mously carried. <br /> <br />BID PROPOSALS - STREET M~RKING PAINT: <br />The City Manager reviewed bid proposals received for the furnishing of its <br />street marking paint for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 1974, and recom- <br />mended that contract be awarded to Celucoat in the total amount of $3,378.75. <br /> · ~ ~ ~o- ~ ~ ' ~p~roval. Motion seconded by Councilman <br />Councilma~ ~,a~ssen~u~g~r moved <br />Werner and unanimously carried. <br />BID PROPOSALS - ASPIh~LTIC CONCRETE: <br />The City Manager reviewed a bid proposal which was received from Fred Weber, <br />Inc. for furnishing of asphaltic concrete mixture for the year ending June 30, <br />1975, and this was the only proposal received. Fred Weber, Inc. offered a <br />base price with right to escalate, and secondly, a firm price for the year. <br />The administrative forces recommended that the escalating basis be approved <br />(as follows): <br /> <br />Loaded into City trucks at its <br />1337 S.
