Special Session 936, Minutes <br />June 30, 1969 <br /> <br />Page 6 <br /> <br />Bills for Second Reading, Continued: <br /> <br />BILL NO. 6622 (AS ~IENDED) AMENDING CHAPTER 18 MUNICIPAL CODE RELATING <br />TO LICENSES A~ BUSINESS REGULATIONS (WATER SERVICE C~ANIES): <br /> <br />Councilman Lieberman moved that Bill No. 6622 be amended by deleting the <br />word "July~' in the title of the bill and in Section 3, and inserting in <br />lieu thereof the word ~'August." Motion seconded by Councilman Epstein and <br />unanimously carried. <br /> <br />Bill Mo. 6622 As Amended was given its second reading. <br /> <br />Bill No. 6622 As Amended was given its third reading. <br /> <br />Councilman Lieberman moved that Bill Mo. 6622 As Amended be adopted as an <br />ordinance. ~fotion seconded by Councilman Werner. Upon roll call, the <br />following vote was recorded: AYES: Councilmen Lieberman, Grimm~ Werner, <br />Epstein, Glickert and Mayor I~aufman. ~AYS: None. ABS~,]T: Councilman Woods. <br />The motion therefore carried and Bill No. 6622 As Amended was adopted as <br />Ordinance No, 4517. <br /> <br />BILL NO. 6623 -A/~fl~}~)IMG CI{kPTF~R 21 (SECTION 21-132) RELATING TO ~.~OTOR <br />VEHICLES AND TRAFFIC .- PARKING PROHIBITION: <br />Councilman Lieberman said he understands there are some members of the <br />public who ~rtsh to be heard on this matter, which involves the prohibition <br />of parking at all times on the south side of Chamberlain from Purdue to <br />Jackson, the south side of Drexel from Purdue to Jackson and on the east <br />side of Jackson from Ahern to Shaftesbury Avenue. <br /> <br />1-fr. Joe ~icGlynn, 7319 Chamberlain, upon being recognized~ said he has ap- <br />peared before the Council on this matter in previous years. He said a <br />meeting has been held by residents of the area, but it was not well <br />attended and he asked for a delay of any action on the bill until later <br />in the summer~ affording them an opportunity to look into it more fully. <br /> <br />}~yor I~aufman, addressing himself to ~.
