It was so ordered. <br /> <br />REQUEST OF RABE PARK NEIGHBORHOOD ASSOCIATION TO HOLD A BARBICUE: <br /> <br />City Manager Henry stated that a request has been received from the Rabe <br />Park Neighborhood Association to hold a Barbecue from 5~30 to 10:00 P.M., <br />July 16, 1967, on Rabe Drive between Hawthorne and Lynn. He said most of <br />the activity will be in the park, but they have secured the signatures of <br />the abutting Rabe Drive property owners so they can put the barbecue equip- <br />ment on the street itself. The administrative forces recommended that per- <br />mission be granted. <br /> <br />Councilman Lieberman moved that permit be granted to the Rabe Park Neighbor- <br />hood Association. He added that this organization has been doing a wonder- <br />ful job in that area of bringing people together and showing the rest of <br />the City that neighbors can work together toward means such as this. Coun- <br />cilman Epstein said she attended the most recent meeting of this associa- <br />tion, along with Councilman Lieberman, and takes pleasure in seconding the <br />motion. Councilman Bamburg expressed the view that this is the sort of <br />activity he thinks ought to be encouraged. Upon vote, the motion unanimous- <br />ly carried. <br /> <br />ADV~qCED SICK LEAVE - PATROlmAN E. COLEGROVE, SR.: <br />City Manager Henry reviewed this matter, explaining that Patrolman Earl <br />Colegrove, Sr. is recuperating from a heart attack and is expected to <br />return to full duty on July 1, 1967. He has had 34 years of experience <br />and the administrative forces are recommendingthat he be given 31 days of <br />advance sick leave as requested, and this would be returned through ser- <br />vices. <br /> <br />Following brief discussion~ Councilman Grimm moved that the recommendation <br />of the administrative forces be approved and that sick leave be granted to <br />Patrolman Earl Colegrove, Sr. as requested. ~otion seconded by Councilman <br />Lieberman and unanimously carried. <br /> <br />BUDGETARY TRANSFERS: <br />City Manager Henry stated that the following transfers are necessary for <br />the reasons shown to complete the 1966-67 fiscal year: <br /> <br />TO FRO~.~ <br /> <br />1200-B Administrative Services $300.00 <br /> <br />ICb~A School, meeting in Las Vegas <br />and increased cost of personnel <br />advertising not budgeted <br /> <br />1400-E Legal Services <br />Norelco transcriber not budgeted <br />due to increased court loads <br /> <br />250.00 <br /> <br />2400-A Fire Department <br />Turnover and hiring of <br />new men at lower rates <br /> <br />2620-A Street Department <br />Less part-time help than <br />budgeted <br /> <br />$4000.00 <br /> <br />6920.00 <br /> <br />1700-A Maintenance of Public BidE. 10.00 <br /> <br />Cover longevity increases <br /> <br />1600-E Finance Department <br />To provide office equipment for <br />new TVB <br /> <br />500.00 <br /> <br />continued, next page <br /> <br /> <br />
