" <br /> <br /> Councilman Lieberman moved adoption of the amendmants. <br /> <br />At the request of the }~yor~ the City Clerk read the list of amendments <br />(contained in the memorandum of June 19th) as follows: <br /> <br />1. Strike the entire preamble. (This was considered to be surplusage) <br /> <br />2. Strike the words "NOW, ~{EREFOP~" from the beginning of the enacting <br /> paragraph. <br /> <br />3. On page 2 - strike subparagraphs (e) (f) (g) and (h). (These pro- <br /> visions are already covered in the zoning code.) <br /> <br />4. Strike paragraph (i) and enact a new (i) - "To refer to race, <br />nationality or creed in offering property for sale~ rent, or lease". <br /> <br />5. Strike paragraph (k) and enact a new (k) reading as follows: <br /> <br /> "(k) To solicit for sale or listing for sale of real property, <br /> either by phone, through the mails or in person after the owner of <br /> such property has requested the solicitor or the company he repre- <br /> sents to cease soliciting him.'; <br /> <br />6. A new subparagraph at the end of Section 1, reading as follows: <br /> <br /> "To fail to inform prospective purchaser or renter that an Occupancy <br /> Permit is required by the City of University City before any occupan- <br /> cy takes effect.~' <br /> <br />7. Re-letter the subparagraphs in Section 1 to conform to the above <br /> changes. <br /> <br /> Strike Section 2 (b). (This is already in the code.) <br /> <br /> Add a new Section 2 (b) reading as follows: <br /> <br /> "It shall ascertain the names and addresses of all real estate <br /> brokers and real estate salesmen, acting as such within the City." <br /> <br /> Section 3 - Change second line by striking "It may sign complaints <br /> against any person': and substitute: <br /> <br /> "It may initiate complaints against any person". <br /> <br /> Continued, next page <br /> <br />10. <br /> <br /> <br />
