All existing conditions would remain in place. The primary added
condition would be that alcoholic beverage display and the sales area would be limited
to the area identified on the floor plan submitted and dated December 23, 2004,
equaling less than 10 per cent of the total floor space a the west central portion of the
store. The applicant further proposes that alcoholic beverage sales will only be
available during normal store hours terminating at 8:00 P.M. daily. He recommended
approval of these two conditions: limiting the space and time during which alcoholic
beverage would be available for sale.

Ms. Brot asked if the liquor license was a separate issue from the site plan amendment
and was told yes. Ms. Welsch moved approval and Mr. Wagner seconded and the
motion carried unanimously.

A,qenda Item No. 3 - Public Hearinq - 8041 Olive Liquor License

A public hearing has been called for 6:30 P.M. this evening in these Council Chambers
to hear comments on the proposed granting of a license to sell all types of packaged
liquor at the grocery store at this address. Notices have been sent to all properties
within 500'. The applicant appears to meet all requirements of the city ordinance and
thus a license may be granted at this time following a public hearing. Past Council policy
has been to award the initial license for alcoholic beverages including beer and wine up
to 22 per cent alcohol content for a trial period before granting a full package liquor
license.
Page 3
