Session 1725, Minutes <br />June 8, 1998 <br /> <br />Teen Activities Program have been received. Invitations to Bid were sent to four <br />possible sources with the following results: <br /> <br />Atlantic Express <br />Ryder Transportation <br />Laidlaw Transit <br /> <br />$8,821.00 <br />$8,971.00 <br />$10,413.00 <br /> <br />Based on ten years of excellent service, Mr. Ollendorff recommends that the award be <br />made to Ryder Transportation for the estimated amount of $8,971.00. <br /> <br />Mr. Schoomer moved adoption of the consent calendar. Mr. Sharpe seconded the <br />motion, which carried unanimously. <br /> <br />AGENDA #2: BUDGET ADOPTION: <br /> <br />Mr. Ollendorff recommends adoption of the budget proposed for the fiscal year <br />beginning July 1, 1998, including adjustments agreed upon during the past month as <br />City Council studied the various proposals. The budget as revised by the City Council <br />allows us to continue a high level of services to our citizens, as well as expanding the <br />infrastructure rebuilding program. <br /> <br />Responding to Mr. Lieberman, Mr. Ollendorff said that there was plenty of money to run <br />an efficient court system, but that it did not need any assistance since there was not <br />any backlogs. Mr. Lieberman asked Mr. Ollendorff if there were plans to create an <br />Informational Booklet for residents. Mr. Ollendorff replied that one would be created in <br />the new fiscal year. <br /> <br />Mr. Wagner noted that line 10.10-721.10, in the budget change documents, was <br />incorrect, having an extra number "5" in the dollar figure. Mr. Wagner moved this <br />amendment. Mr. Schoomer seconded the motion, which carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Mr. Schoomer moved adoption of the 1998-1999 budget. Mr. Sharpe seconded the <br />motion, which carried unanimously. <br /> <br />AGENDA #3: LIQUOR LICENSE PUBLIC HEARING - '1255 FERGUSON: <br /> <br />Mr. Ollendorff said that an application for a liquor license at this location is in order. City <br />Council denied the application when it was first submitted pending observation of the <br />restaurant once it was opened. Applicant indicates that they have been open and <br />operating since February. To date there have been no complaints received by City staff <br />regarding the restaurant operation except for exterior maintenance problems in the <br />surrounding property. The owner of the property indicates that he will be doing a better <br /> <br /> <br />
