Approval was recammen:ied of transfers <br />of m:mey necessary to maintain a balanced budget. Additional experxlitures <br />are less than one per cent of the budget and are offset by revenue from in- <br />surance rebates and savings on several recent large purchases. '!he list of <br />budget transfers is attac:hed to the pemanent minutes. <br /> <br />Ruth Park Golf Course SUpplies l.it2.l. Acceptance of the bid of $6,037.04 from <br />o. M. Scott Pro 'l\1rf Division, the sole supplier of greens am faiJ:way ferti- <br />lizer, insecticide, grass control am fungicide for Ruth Park Golf Course, <br />was reconunended. <br /> <br />Consideration of Tree Bids (#3). Invitations to bid on 322 trees am shrubs, <br />including items r..o be purchased with Canmunity Development funds, were sent <br />to 22 area nurseries, with the following response: <br /> <br />SUburbia Gardens - 20 no bid items <br />Frisella Nursery - 11 no bid items <br />Waldbart & Sons - 2 no bid items <br />Tom Mansfield Nursery (50~; female owned) - <br />11 no bid items <br /> <br />$ 6,550.00 <br />9,152.00 <br />12,352.50 <br /> <br />16,414.00 <br /> <br />In order to stay within the 1991-92 budget allocation, the number of trees to <br />be purchased has been reduced to 160 and the shrubs to five, totaling $7,307. <br />If more funds bec.ome available, this budget account should be increased to at <br />least prior year levels. An additional 110 trees and 20 shrubs will be pur- <br />c:hased with community Development funds for a total of $4,999.50. It was <br />reconnnended that the city accept the bid of $7,307 from Waldbart am Sons. <br /> <br />Mr. Price moved approval of the Consent Ca+endar.
