ClEARING BRUSH ON VERNON :F.RC!>t FAS'roATE 'ro WES'IGATE <br /> <br />The City Manager said bids were received for new fencing and clearing over- <br />grown brush and weed trees on Vernon from Eastgate to Westgate, as follows: <br /> <br />Alpha Fence <br />Kennedy Fence <br />Easter Fence <br />Collins & Hennann <br />Barjer Construction <br /> <br />$64,155 <br />64,245 <br />65,000 <br />74,433 <br />81,512 <br /> <br />Alternate #2 <br /> <br />$65,544 <br />63,889 <br />68,900 <br />78,080 <br />72,012 <br /> <br />Alternate #1 <br /> <br />Funding will come from Cormnunity Developnent Funds. It was recorrnnended that <br />the award go to Easter Fence Co. for their bid of $65,000 for Alternate #1 <br />(privacy fence of redwood slats). The slightly lower bids of Alpha Fence and <br />Kennedy Fence were based on the substitution of stained pine instead of red- <br />wood. Alternate #2 is for panel weave sightproofing which is less durable. <br />At least half of the total bid is for clearing brush and weeds. <br /> <br />Mr. Adams moved approval.
