She said all can:lidates for office had been advised <br />that the canvass of the election results would take place at this ~ting. <br /> <br />'!he City Clerk said that acco:rding to Article IX, Section 71 of the City <br />Charter, notification was received from the Board of Election Ccmnissioners <br />of st. Iouis county showing the results of the municipal election held on <br />'I\1esday, April 7, 1992, to be as follows: <br /> <br />NUMBER OF VOI'FS <br /> <br />Mal:y V. Schmnan eouncilnenber, First Ward <br />J~ L. Adams, Jr. eouncilnenber, Secorxl Ward <br />Betty L. 'Ihompson eouncilnenber, '!bird Ward <br /> <br />2,991 <br /> <br />2,085 <br /> <br />1,905 <br /> <br />Copies of the certification were distributed to members of the Council. Mr. <br />Schoomer moved acceptance of the certification of the results of the April 7, <br />1992 election. Mr. Wagner secorxled the motion, which carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Mayor Majerus called attention to a resolution prepared by the City Clerk's <br />office which showed the results of the election. Copies of the resolution <br />were distributed to councilmembers. Mr. Price moved adoption of the resolu- <br />tion, with Mr. Schoomer secorxling the motion. All voted Aye. <br /> <br />ADJOORNMENI' - SrnE DIE <br /> <br />Mr. Adams moved that the eouncil, consisting of Mayor Majerus arxl eouncilmem- <br />bers Price, Adams, Wagner, Schuman, Schoomer, arxl '!hompson, be adjourned sine <br />die. Mr. Schoomer secorxled the motion, which carried unanimously. <br /> <br />OA'IHS OF OFFICE <br /> <br />In a brief ceremony, Mayor Maj erus administered the oath of office to Coun- <br />cilmembers Schmnan, Adams, arxl '!hompson. '!he Mayor said it has been a real <br />pleasure seJ:Ving with the three councilmembers, arxl she looked forward to <br />continuing this fine relationship. Mrs. '!hompson thanked her constituents <br />for giving her a vote of confidence. '!here was a round of applause for the <br />newly reelected councilmembers. <br /> <br />Mayor Majerus called the ~ting to order. In addition to the Mayor, the <br />roll call vote showed the following councilmembers to be present: <br /> <br />Mr. Byron R. Price <br />Mr. JoseIil L. Adams, Jr. <br />Mr. Robert G.
