Acceptance was reconunended of a proposal from <br />Security Info:mation Network to install a police/fire alann monitoriI'q system <br />in the Dispatch Center. 'Ihe system, which has been utilized on a trial basis <br />for the past year, provides direct connections for residential or commercial <br />customers at nominal cost. 'Ihe City will incur no expense but will receive a <br />fee for every customer connection arrl no-cost alann connection to build:irqs. <br /> <br />site Plan Extension - 6702 Vernon (#2). It was reconunended that an extension <br />of the site plan for the office/warehouse project at 6702 Vernon be granted, <br />to May, 1993, in order to give the proprietor the necessa:ry time to fully de- <br />velop this project. <br /> <br />Zonincr Amendment Public Hearincr D:ite - Historic Preservation (#3). It was <br />reconunended that a public heariI'q be set for 7:30 p.m. May 18, 1992, to con- <br />sider amerrlrnents to the ZoniI'q COde that were proposed by the Historic Pres- <br />avation Cormnission after careful study arrl consultation with the Plan Com- <br />mission arrl City staff. Representatives from the Cormnission will be present <br />to further explain arrl respond to concerns. 'Ihe amerrlrnents provide needed <br />clarification of existiI'q ordinance provisions as well as expanded applica- <br />tion of the city's legal authority in this area of concern. <br /> <br />Mr. Adams moved approval of the Consent Calendar. Mr. Price seconded the m0- <br />tion, which carried unanimously. <br /> <br />SITE PIAN - 565 MELVIllE <br /> <br />'!he city Manager recammerrled approval of a site plan for a coffee house at <br />565 Melville, subject to the followiI'q conditions: <br /> <br />1. seatiI'q shall be limited to thirty (30) seats, includiI'q seatiI'q of all <br />types . <br />2. Hours of operation shall be limited to the hours before 10 p.m. surrlay <br />through 'lhursday, arrl 1 a.m. on Friday arrl Saturday nights. <br /> <br />Mr. Wagner moved approval with all conditions, arrl Mr. Price secorrled the m0- <br />tion. In response to Mr. Schoorner, Mr. Ollendorff said there were no current <br />violations on this buildiI'q, although the new addition built by the same own- <br />er still has corrections to be made. All voted Aye. <br />
