Approval was recornrrerx:ied for the Iuth- <br />eran canpus Ministry to use the two-story building at 7019 Forsyth for a stu- <br />dent center arrl office. '!his church property has been used in the past as a <br />residence for church employees, thus, there will be no expansion of the ex- <br />isting tax exenpt status. <br /> <br />settincr Public Hearincr - Parkview Historic District (#5). It was suggested <br />that a public hearing be held June 1 at 7:30 p.m. to ex>nsider Historic Pres- <br />ervation Conunission recommendations to designate the Parkview Historic Dis- <br />trict, arrl regulations for such a district. At the hearing, Council should <br />consider questions raised by the Plan Conunission that led to its recommenda- <br />tion that the proposal be denied, alorg with its modifications should council <br />establish such a district. '!he city Manager reconunerrled that this district <br />be designated part of the City's zonirg Code (with appropriate regulations) <br />so as to further errq:>hasize the City's connnit:rnent to celebrating its heritage. <br /> <br />site Plan Review - 7510 Delmar, suite 201 (#6). Approval was reconunerrled for <br />the Midwest Bible Fellowship to use offices at 7510 Delmar for administrative <br />purposes. Council approval is required because of the tax-exempt status, but <br />since the Fellowship is a tenant with no plans to purchase the property, no <br />loss of property taxes to the City will occur. <br /> <br />Mr. Schoomer 11'OVed approval of the amerrl.ed COnsent Calerrlar. Mr. Wagner sec- <br />onded the lIK)tion, which carried unaninx:lusly. <br /> <br />PIrnIC BEER LICENSE - <X>CA <br /> <br />The City Manager recormnen::led approval of a one-day picnic license on May 31, <br />1992 at <X>CA for an event to benefit the st. lDuis Effort for ArOS. <br /> <br />Ms. Liz Brent, 6620 Clemens, representing the applicant, asked the Council to <br />waive the fee since the organization is non-profit. Mr. Schoomer 11'OVed ap- <br />proval as requested, with Mr. Wagner seex>nding the lIK)tion. All voted Aye. <br /> <br />RJBLIC HEARING - 1992-93 CITY wrx:;EI' <br /> <br />The City Manager said the first of two public hearings was scheduled at this <br />time to receive public conunents on the 1992-93 City budget. He noted that <br />the Council will be reviewing the budget over the next few weeks at three <br />budget study meetings, arrl a seex>nd public hearing is scheduled for May 18. <br />
