Tennis Court Resurfacing – Kaufman Park <br /> <br />Invitations to Bid were sent to five construction companies for proposals to resurface the <br />four tennis courts at Kaufman Park and $15,000 was set aside in the budget for this <br />project. The following bids were received: <br /> <br /> St. Louis Paving ………………………….$16,800.00 <br /> Frazier-Davis Construction Company. . . $13,880.00 <br /> <br />Mr. Ollendorff recommended awarding this project to Frazier-Davis Construction <br />company for their low bid of $13,880.00. <br /> <br />5. Government Access Channel <br /> <br />Mr. Ollendorff recommended authorization of the City Manager to set up a government <br />access channel and introduction of a character generated message billboard system for <br />estimated equipment cost of $5,000. In addition, he recommended authorizing the City <br />Manager to pursue a matching grant from the Charter Communications to cover 50 % of <br />the expected equipment cost. Funds are budgeted in the Public Relations budget to <br />cover the City’s share of the equipment cost and operating expenses. <br /> <br />6. Public Art in Lewis Park <br /> <br />Mr. Ollendorff recommended acceptance of the Gateway Foundation’s proposal to <br />install a sculpture in Lewis Park. The Gateway Foundation retains ownership of the <br />piece and assumes full responsibility for its installation and maintenance. Both of <br />Municipal Commission on Arts and Letters and Park Commission support this project. <br />Neighborhood groups bordering Lewis Park have not expressed any opposition. <br /> <br />7. Setting Public Hearing on Zoning Text Amendments <br /> <br />The City Manager recommended calling three public hearings on zoning text <br />amendments for 6:30 p.m. in these City Council Chambers on Monday, March 7, 2005, <br />as follows: <br /> <br />? <br /> Amend Zoning Ordinance to permit flags under limiting conditions. <br />Page 3 <br /> <br />
