Session 1713, Minutes <br />JanuaryS, 1998 <br /> <br />University City. All costs will be born by the district. Mayor Adams said that this may <br />be a first for the state. Mr. Schoomer said that Olivette had done a couple of these. <br /> <br />Mayor Adams read a portion of the resolution which explained that University <br />Heights #1 would become a special taxing district in order to make repairs and <br />improvements to their concrete gutters and curbs, and the renovation and repaving <br />of subdivision streets. <br /> <br />Mr. Schoomer moved adoption. Mr. Munkei seconded the motion, which carried <br />unanimously. <br /> <br />APPOINTMENT: <br /> <br />Mr. Schoomer moved the appointment of Mr. Helton Reed, #9 Princeton, to the Plan <br />Commission for a term ending January 1,2001. Mr. Wagner seconded the motion, <br />which carried unanimously. <br /> <br />OATHS OF OFFICE: <br /> <br />The following new or reappointed members of the City's boards or commissions <br />were given the oath of office by the City Clerk: Barbara Ann Romero -- Municipal <br />Commission on Arts and Letters, John Walsh -- Plan Commission, Ben Senturia, <br />Arthur Smith, Robert Klepper- Park Commission. <br /> <br />The Mayor thanked everyone for their desire to serve the City on these important <br />boards/commissions. Mayor Adams said that the work of citizens in this capacity <br />were invaluable and of great benefit to the City. <br /> <br />CITY MANAGER'S REPORTS: <br /> <br />CONSENT CALENDAR (1 ITEM): <br /> <br /># 7 - Sewer Repair Bids: Bids have been received from three contractors for repair <br />of seven private sanitary sewers causing damage to public property.
