Mr. Munkel seconded, which carried <br />unanimously. <br /> <br />CITY MANAGER'S REPORTS: <br /> <br />CONSENT CALENDAR: (14 Items): <br /> <br />#1 - Conditional Use Extension - 1301 Partridge: Mr. Ollendorff recommends approval <br />of University Forest Nursing Care Center's request for a twelve month extension of their <br />Conditional Use Permit. They need additional time to meet Federal funding <br />requirements for their planned expansion. <br /> <br />#2 - 1998-99 Annual Order- Tires: Bids for furnishing tires for the 1998-99 fiscal year <br />have been received. Invitations were sent to eight possible sources with the following <br />responses: <br /> <br />Purcell Tires (1-no bid) <br />Froesel Tires (1-no bid) <br />Dobbs Tire <br /> <br />$12,471.92 <br />$13,784.88 <br />$12,012.80 <br /> <br />Mr. Ollendorff recommends making the award to Dobbs Tire for their low bid of <br />$12,012.80. <br /> <br />#3 - 1998-99 Annual Order ~ Stone Materials: Bids for furnishing limestone macadam, <br />trap rock and gravel for the Park Maintenance and Street Divisions have been received. <br />Invitations to Bid were sent to eight sources with the following responses: <br /> <br />Breckenridge Material Co. <br /> <br />N.B. West <br /> <br />Iron Mountain Trap Rock <br /> <br />Winter Bros. Material <br /> <br />Fred Weber Material Division <br /> <br />$32,087.50 <br /> <br />$9,250.00 (6 no bid) <br />$9,250.00 (6 no bid) <br />$4,640.75 (4 no bid) <br />$5,185.00 (5 no bid) <br /> <br />Mr. Ollendorff recommends splitting the award as follows with each item going to the <br />low bidder: $4,640.75 to Winter Brothers, $5,185.00 to Fred Weber, and $9,250.00 to <br />Iron Mountain Trap Rock for a combined estimated total of $19,075.75. <br /> <br />#4 - 1998-99 Annual Order- Concrete Products: Bids for furnishing concrete products <br />for the 1998-99 fiscal year have been received.
