Finding one infected mosquito does not mean they have to
spray the entire west side of the city for the rest of the season.

MAYOR’S CHARGE TO COUNCIL ON ADJACENT CITY COOPERATION:

Mayor Adams said that in the Advisory Board on Economic Progress’ report was a
recommendation on Page 17, Action item D, that dealt with opportunities with adjacent
communities. In regards to this recommendation, he has developed a charge for the
Council to adopt and move forward with. Mayor Adams said that he provided contact
information for all of the cities that were included in the report, except for St. Louis.

Ms. Welsch seemed to remember, which the Mayor may remember better, that many of
the cities that he has listed do not border our community. Mayor Adams said that he is
only talking about the communities that are listed in the report on page 17.

Ms. Brungardt wanted to find out why St. Louis was not included. Mayor Adams replied
that there is an interesting relationship between the City of St. Louis and University City
Page 21
