Go <br />Regarding distribution of monthly budget updates will begin in July as the City will <br />Live on the first portion of the new financial system on Monday, June 8, 2009 <br />. <br />The portions of the system that will fully implement on this day are purchasing, accounts <br />payable, accounts receivable, revenue collection and general accounting. Financial <br />staff has been training since September ’08 for this large system implementation and <br />will be verifying data over the next two months. Future areas of stepped implementation <br />include licensing, human resources/payroll and refuse collection with complete <br />implementation projected by the first quarter of 2010. The specifications development, <br />bidding, purchase, implementation, training and data conversion from Cobalt to the new <br />integrated system has been a massive undertaking through our budget process and I <br />cannot thank the finance staff enough for their dedication and strain to move this <br />project forward. Ms. Watson’s leadership through the multi-discipline process is <br />priceless. Thank you to all of the Directors and I.T.
