<br />The Civil Service Board generally supports this amendment. <br /> <br /> AR#10 – Procedures for Direct Cost Reimbursement for College Tuition for full-time <br />employees. Increasing reimbursement amount from $500 to $900 per fiscal year or <br />up to an amount equivalent to six credit hours at University of Missouri-St. Louis <br />rate. The employee must receive a passing grade of “C” or greater and must <br />remain a City employee twelve months after being reimbursed. <br />Some Civil Service Board members were concerned over the additional cost to the <br />City and will be revisited at next meeting in September 2009. <br /> <br /> <br /> AR#9 – Staff recognized that beginning years of the City’s vacation schedule is <br />more generous than comparable municipalities so is proposing the following <br />revision. <br /> One to five years of service, two weeks vacation <br />o <br /> Six to ten years of service, two weeks, two days vacation <br />o <br /> Eleven to fifteen years of service, three weeks vacation <br />o <br /> Sixteen to twenty years of service, four weeks vacation <br />o <br /> Twenty one years plus, five weeks vacation <br />o <br />Fire Personnel vacation <br /> One to five years of service, 9.5 hours per month plus 4.75 days per year <br />o <br /> Six to ten years of service, 12 hours per month plus 6 days per year <br />o <br /> Eleven to fifteen years of service, 15 hours per month plus 7.5 days per year <br />o <br /> Sixteen to twenty years of service, 25 hours per month plus 10 days per year <br />o <br /> Twenty one plus years of service, 25 hours per month plus 12.5 days per <br />o <br />year <br />All employees hired after June 30, 2009, will be hired according to the revised <br />vacation schedule and all employees hired before June 30 will have the choice as to <br />which schedule they would like to follow. <br /> <br />The Civil Service Board suggested the addition of language for employees who <br />serve in the military and are called to active duty. There was general acceptance by <br />the Board of adding such language and of the policy as a whole. <br /> <br /> <br /> AR#49 – Hours of Work and Overtime Policy <br />This is a new regulation to better manage overtime use and when it will or will not <br />apply. <br />This Civil Service Board generally supported this regulation. <br /> <br /> <br /> Compensation Ordinance – FY 2010 was reclassification of <br /> Lead Mechanic/Shop Supervisor to Fleet Manager, no grade change <br />o <br /> Building/Plumbing/Electrical Commercial Inspector to Multi-Disciple <br />o <br />Inspector, no grade change <br /> Accounting Manager to Assistant Director of Finance, no grade change <br />o <br /> Finance Manager to Accounts Receivable Supervisor, Grade 17A to 14A <br />o <br /> New classification for Parking Controller (part-time) <br />o <br /> Engineering Mgr/Asst to Director of Public Works to Asst.
