AN ORDINANCE TO CONFORM WITH REQUIREMENTS OF MISSOURI <br />SENATE BILL 262 TO ESTABLISH A PROCEDURE TO DISCLOSE <br />POTENTIAL CONFLICTS OF INTEREST AND SUBSTANTIAL INTERESTS <br />FOR CERTAIN MUNICIPAL OFFICIALS. <br /> <br />The bill was given its first reading and assigned bill number 8809 <br /> <br />With this reading this will bring to a conclusion in a certain position and a change to a <br />new position of Ms. Forsythe. It has been Mayor Adam’s distinct pleasure to work with <br />this young lady. It has been a joy, pleasure and a lot of fun. Mayor Adams enjoyed the <br />professional working relationship and friendship. Mr. Adams wanted the citizens to <br />know that he really and truly does value Ms. Forsythe, as she has made his job as <br />Mayor a pleasure. I am very happy for her moving on to her new position in University <br />City, dealing with intelligence and the technical community; the IT coordinator. The <br />person who will make sure our phones work, our computers compute, and all else <br />associated with the technical world. We have worked in trying to bring this City into now <br />this new century. When Ms. Forsythe became City Clerk, we talked about where the <br />City hoped to go, and we/she brought the City into the technological future. <br /> <br />Mr. Wagner thanked Mr. Forsythe for the very wonderful way you reported to the City <br />Council. She has helped Mr. Wagner repeatedly. She has done all this work and <br />always has a smile on her face, while working for seven bosses. Mr. Wagner wanted to <br />thank her so much and wanted her to know how much she was appreciated and offered <br />congratulations on the promotion and wished her much success. <br /> <br />Ms. Colquitt said that all she can do is to ditto what everyone has said. Ms. Forsythe <br />has made her eight years on the Council wonderful, helped me with everything, and <br />was just a joy. <br /> <br />Mr. Sharpe told Ms. Forsythe that he had this tear in his eye over losing her. She has <br />been absolutely marvelous. She was always there to take care of me with a smile on <br />her face. Mr. Sharpe thanked her very much and wished her good luck in her new <br />career. <br /> <br />Ms. Brot wanted to thank Ms. Forsythe for explaining things and aiding her in finding <br />things and helping us to be one of the best Councils in the county. <br /> <br />Ms. Brungardt thanked Ms. Forsythe. <br /> <br />Mayor Adams called forth University City’s new City Clerk, to administer the oath of the <br />office of City Clerk and then for her to take over the meeting as we are to deal with the <br />Page 16 <br /> <br />
