Construction was anticipated to begin in 2008.
The project will receive 80 percent federal matching funds.

Ms. Brot asked for specific location of the bridge, which was explained to be off of
Midland. Mr. Ollendorff stated that bridge was collapsing and the money previously
allotted was for aesthetic value and not for fixing the main structure.

Ms. Brot and Mr. Sharpe asked about the possibility of making it a vehicle bridge. Mr.
Ollendorff said that we can’t get justification and it would cost seven to eight million plus
the bridge would mostly be used as a cut-through.

A motion was made by Mr. Wagner for approval and was seconded by Ms. Colquitt.

The motion was carried unanimously.

AGENDA #8 – Ms. Colquitt would like Council to approve three lots on Hafner, to
always remain as single family comprehensive, never to have any other options. These
three lots are 1217, 1218, and 1219 Hafner, adjacent to Olive.

Ms. Colquitt said that her constituents were asking her about the overrun in the
commercial development and they wanted to know what was next and how can they
protect their homes from being rezoned. Ms. Colquitt said the residents in her Ward
want the Council’s guarantee that these lots will not be rezoned.
Page 9
