Regular meeting
August 29, 2005

Regular Session is scheduled would be to consult a U-City calendar.

Mr. Sharpe said he had requested the City Manager to try and schedule Council
Regular Session meetings so not to be on the Monday after the second Sunday of the
month as much as possible, due to his commitment as a Deacon.

Mayor Adams also mentioned the Jewish Holidays sometimes fall on the scheduled
Monday and many regular holidays are observed on Mondays.

Ms. Welsh said she was grateful that City Manager is talking about Study Session. She
also would like to see schedule change to two Regular Session meetings a month, even
though they may not be on the same day. We just had a three month span with only
one meeting per month and felt that it was a long time between meetings. She felt
Council would be more effective with more frequent scheduled meetings, except on
Holiday months as November and December.

Ms. Brot asked City Manager what the procedure would be to change it to two meetings
a month.

Mr. Ollendorff said he could certainly give it a try.

Mr. Sharpe is not in favor of two meetings a month because if there was a necessity to
deal with an issue, a Special meeting could be called.

Dates for 2006 City Council meetings were left with Mr. Ollendorff to look into possibility
to look into the feasibility of having two meetings a month.

#6 – Printing of 23,000 – 2006 City Calendars
Ms. Colquitt wanted to be sure that the Council would be able to review it before it is
published. She wanted to be sure names matched pictures but Mayor Adams explained
that this year was the Centennial Calendar and would not be using photographs of
people.

Ms. Braungardt was concerned with the low bidder for printing. She wanted to be sure
that the Arts and Letter Commission was comfortable in the quality of printing and
paper, since it would be the end display of their work.

Ms. Welsch asked City Manager if City has used Publication Printing before and the
answer was no. She then wanted to know if the Arts & Letter Commission would have
the option to view a sample before publication.

Ms. Brungardt wanted the Arts and Letter Commission to have some input into the final
product.
Page 3
