Now we have this discrepancy over <br />the information stream, agenda priorities, and how did we come to this point. She concurred <br />that it is quite confusing as to what is going on. <br /> <br />Ms. Welsch said that she had asked Mr. Moton to find out where and when the Council had <br />already approved opening Heman Park pool to the public, as was suggested. <br /> <br />No motion was made by Council to remove this from the Table, so it remained Tabled. <br /> <br />AGENDA ITEM #6 - Request for Permit to Solicit - Fund for Public Interest Research <br />(MoPIRG) <br />Solicitation is planned for the Loop area from December 13 through December 27 for collection <br />financial contributions, petition signatures, and to recruit members. The organization works on <br />environmental and public health issues. <br /> <br />Mr. Wagner motioned for approval and was seconded by Ms. Welsch. It passed unanimously. <br /> <br />AGENDA ITEM #7 - Beer and Wine License 559 North & South Rd. <br />Owners of the new pizza restaurant, Dewey's Pizza, have met all ordinance requirements and <br />approval was recommended. <br /> <br />Ms. Welsch motioned for approval and was seconded by Ms. Brot. The motion was passed <br />unanimously. <br /> <br />AGENDA ITEM #8 - Beer and Wine License - 7930 Olive Blvd. <br />Asiana Gardens requested beer and wine license as previous restaurants have had in the past <br /> <br />Mr. Wagner motioned for approval and was seconded by Ms. Welsch. The motion was passed <br />unanimously. <br /> <br />AGENDA ITEM #9 - Liquor License Upgrade - 887 Kingsland <br />Mi Ranchito Mexican Restaurant requested upgrade in liquor license in order to sell liquor drinks <br />associated with a Mexican Restaurant. Owners said that not being able to sell mixed drinks, <br />their business has been hurt. <br /> <br />Ms. Welsch moved for approval and was seconded by Ms. Brungardt. The motion was passed <br />unanimously. <br /> <br />AGENDA ITEM #10 - Utilizing any utility windfall gross receipt taxes received this winter. Use <br />would be to assist people in need of help with their heating bills.
