<br />Regular meeting <br />December 12, 2005 <br /> <br />Ms. Welsch requested to also thank the Prop K Committee for their diligent three years of <br />service. Ms. Welsch said that she was proud that this was one of her first recommendations on <br />as a member of the Council to set up the Prop K Citizens' Committee to get citizen input. She <br />appreciated the support she received from the other Councilmembers and Mr. Larry Lieberman. <br />Ms. Welsch appreciated all the time and energy of the committee and proud of the facility that <br />has been built. <br /> <br />LEGISLATIVE DOCKET <br /> <br />BILLS FOR SECOND AND THIRD READINGS: <br /> <br />1. BILL NO. 8822 - APPROVING A CONTRACT FOR THE PURCHASE OF 7579 - 7585 <br />OLIVE BY THE CITY OF UNIVERSITY CITY, AND AUTHORIZING THE <br />EXPENDITURE OF FUNDS FOR THE PURCHASE <br /> <br />This bill received its second reading <br />This bill received its third reading <br /> <br />Mr. Wagner made a motion to adopt and was seconded by Ms. Welsch. The Roll Call <br />vote was as follows: AYES: Ms. Brungardt, Mr. Wagner, Ms. Brot, Ms. Welsch, Mr. <br />Sharpe, and Mayor Adams. NAYS: none <br />Bill number 8822 passed and became Ordinance number 6594. <br /> <br />2. BILL NO. 8824 - AMENDING CHAPTER 2.64 OF THE UNIVERSITY CITY MUNICIPAL <br />CODE, RELA TlNG TO THE NONUNIFORMED EMPLOYEES RETIREMENT SYSTEM, <br />BY REPEALING SECTION 2.64.090 THEREOF, RELATING TO NORMAL SERVICE <br />RETIREMENT, AND ENACTING IN LIEU THEREOF A NEW SECTION TO BE KNOWN <br />AS "SECTION 2.64.090 NORMAL SERVICE RETIREMENT," THEREBY AMENDING <br />SAID SECTION SO AS TO INCREASE THE PENSION OF PARTICIPANTS WHO <br />TERMINA TED ON OR AFTER JANUARY 1, 2005 OR JANUARY 1, 2006. <br /> <br />This bill was replaced with an alternate bill, on the same subject, placed on the Agenda <br />this night, for its first reading <br /> <br />3. BILL NO. 8826 - AMENDING CHAPTER 10.40 OF THE UNIVERSITY CITY <br />MUNICIPAL CODE, RELA TlNG TO STOPPING, STANDING AND PARKING <br />GENERALL Y, BY REPEALING SECTION 10.40.020 THEREOF, RELA TlNG TO <br />STOPPING, STANDING AND PARKING PROHIBITED IN SPECIFIED PLACE- <br />EXCEPTIONS, AND ENACTING IN LIEU THEREOF A NEW SECTION TO BE KNOWN <br />AS "SECTION 10.40.020 STOPPING, STANDING AND PARKING PROHIBITED IN <br />SPECIFIED PLACES-EXCEPTIONS," THEREBY AMENDING SAID SECTION SO AS <br />TO PROHIBIT PARKING, STOPPING OR STANDING ANY TIME ON BIG BEND <br />BL VD., BOTH SIDES, FROM DELMAR BL Vo.
