<br />Regular meeting <br />January 30, 2006 <br /> <br />Simple action the Council should take is to wait for the outcome of the court trial. <br /> <br />Eugene Lehr, 6955 Waterman <br />Mr. Lehr recalls his dad talking about Ames Place residents paying an extra <br />assessment for maintaining the abandoned greenspace. He encouraged U City to wait <br />until the court case is heard. <br /> <br />Joseph VonKaenel, 6655 Waterman <br />Mr. VonKaenel is an attorney but was here as a private citizen. He encouraged Council <br />to wait until the judge ruled on the law suit instead of allowing Metro to manipulate them. <br />He said the Council should remain neutral. He suggested that Council should <br />permanently table this. Mr. VonKaenel suggested that all kinds of legal questions could <br />be raised if Council passed this bill <br /> <br />Ms. Colquitt motioned to table this bill and was seconded by Ms. Brot. <br /> <br />The role call votes were as follows: Ayes: Ms. Colquitt, Ms. Brungardt, Ms. Brot, Ms. <br />Welsch, Mr. Sharpe Jr., Mayor Adams: Nays: none <br /> <br />CITY MANAGER'S CALENDAR <br /> <br />Ms. Colquitt request item #3 be removed from the Consent Calendar for discussion. <br /> <br />AGENDA ITEM #1 - The Consent Calendar <br /> <br />#1 - Turn Out Gear <br />Request to award Ellebracht Co., for 10 sets of turnout coats and pants for <br />the Fire Department for low bid of $13,650.50 <br /> <br />#2 - Fire Department Air Compressor <br />Request to award Banner Fire Equipment for low bid of $42,981.
