AGENDA ITEM #4 - Request for Permit to Solicit - Haven Club The Haven Club on behalf of Our Little Haven requested to conduct pedestrian canvassing in the Loop from April 28, 2006 to April 30, 2006. They will collect financial contributions, petition signatures and recruit members. Ms. Colquitt recommended for approval and was seconded by Ms. Brungardt. Ms. Welsch asked to speak to the representative as she felt the 25% administrative overhead was a little high. Patrick Fagan, 8508 Douglas Ct Mr. Fagan stated that the cost was estimated on the high side as this fund-raiser included printing of t-shirts and material for hand out. Ms. Colquitt said she appreciated the work they did and that she works for a not-for- profit organization and knows how hard it is and the importance of fund raisers. The motion carried unanimously. CITIZEN COMMENTS ON NON AGENDA ITEMS Mark Carter-Piff, 7328 Melrose Mr. Carter-Piff wanted to know if effort was made to secure businesses other than a Rally's for the site at Olive and Midland. Mayor Adams explained that the City did not own that property. The owner of the property was the one to market it. Frank Ollendorff said that the City did try to market it but were unable to find anyone else. Next question that Mr. Carter had was to address was how litter was to be controlled. Frank Ollendorff said he would contact him tomorrow and explain what conditions were put on this property. Ms. Colquitt said that she hoped that the new owners of Rally's would meet with the neighbors and listen to their concerns.
