Regular meeting
March 06, 2006

member. Ms. Brot requested that it would so state that then.

Ms. Brungardt motioned for adoption and Ms. Welsch seconded with the purpose of
discussion.

Ms. Brungardt said that several members of the Parks Commission did not receive their
packet in a timely fashion, for the last meeting. She said that last year there was a
heated discussion on this, which is the major consideration of this commission. This
year there was no discussion. Ms. Brungardt said she would have more confidence had
the commission had the packet in their hands well before the meeting.

Elsie Glickert, 6712 Etzel
She was upset that this was not posted on the Agenda which is posted on the Library
bulletin board. She was concerned that the Park Department Commission had not
received their packet in a timely fashion. Ms. Glickert was not in favor of fee increase
for Heman Park pool or open the pool to non-residents. She felt money was wasted on
out-sourcing the training of the guards.

Edward McCarthy, 7101 Princeton Ave.
Mr. McCarthy wanted to know if count was taken for use of pool. He asked if the pool
rental of $300 for two hours included use of the guards. He was told by Mr. Ollendorff
that it did.

Mr. Wagner said that the lateness of the addition of the Agenda and the lack of it not
being posted he would not want to vote on it tonight. He recommended having a Study
session, inviting all members of Park Commission and the director of the Parks
Department to be in attendance. Mr. Wagner motioned to Table this until this Study
session happens. It was seconded by Ms. Brot.

The motion carried unanimously.

Mr. Ollendorff emphasized the need to do this as quickly as possible as this information
was needed before the booklet could be published. Mr. Ollendorff said we could do this
and the economic sales tax on March 13. It was agreed by the Council. City Clerk
noted that she was not scheduled to be here on March 13.

Discussion pursued with Mr. Ollendorff going over the percentage of usage of park
facilities and what was needed as a break-even point.

Citizen Comments:

Michael Glickert, 7706 Amherst
Mr. Glickert said that his son had worked at the pool last year. According to his son, he
said that the scanner at Heman Park Pool was broken more than 50% of the time. Mr.
Page 6
