<br />Councilmember Welsch asked for legal restrictions on publicizing this ballot. City Manager <br />replied that you can spend money on educating not on which way to vote. Councilmember Welsch <br />suggested Committee should decide who would be Chair. Councilmember Sharpe motioned that <br />we go with this 11 member arrangement for the committee and they will select the Chairperson. <br />Councilmember Brot seconded. Everyone was in favor. CouncilmemberWelsch requested a study <br />of how tax has been used in other parts of Missouri and restrictions on concepts for which money <br />can be allocated. <br /> <br />Councilmember Welsch motioned that the Economic Development Tax Citizens Committee be <br />charged with presenting a draft of its recommendations no later than May 11 and to continue <br />educating citizens if issue is on ballot, and on May 16 at 6:30 p.m. be charged with returning to <br />Council its recommendations. Put an ordinance together by May 22. All present agreed. <br /> <br />Appointment of members: Councilmember Sharpe will ask for someone from OBA, <br />Councilmember Wagner will ask someone from Loop Association, Councilmember Brot will <br />contact Historic Preservation. Councilmember Brot was chosen unanimously by the Council to be <br />the Council’s liaison.. Councilmember Brot suggested that City Manager have PR Director get <br />Channel 10 to request volunteers for Boards and Commissions. <br /> <br />Leland Development Project Parking – City Manager said the Traffic Commission and staff had <br />reviewed a request for up to 100 parking space on Leland and LoopNorth as suggested by <br />developer Rick Yacket.. The staff suggested 40-50 parallel parking spaces. The Traffic <br />Commission and staff did not agree with the Developer’s plan. Councilmember Welsch asked Mr. <br />Ollendorff if he had advised the Traffic Commission and staff of the planned development of the <br />Donaldson Court apartments, and if members/staff knew that this change in parking would be as <br />part of a much larger development. Mr. Ollendorff advised that he had not done so. <br />Councilmember Welsch requested that the Traffic Commission be apprised of the complete <br /> <br /> <br />
