Session 171 I, Minutes <br />November 24, 1997 <br /> <br />services and operating Ruth Park Golf Course. This does not include maintenance <br />work which is the responsibility of City staff. The renewal includes a 3% base rate <br />increase, matching the change for City employees, as well as reducing the number of <br />rounds for computing incentive pay to $45,500 which is about the average for recent <br />years. <br /> <br />#3 - (removed) <br /> <br />#4 - Fire Department Air Pak Accessories: Requests were sent to four vendors to <br />provide pricing for subject Fire Department equipment. $7,500 was budgeted. The <br />responses are as follows: <br /> <br />Orr Safety $7,984.04 <br /> <br />Vallen Safety <br /> <br />$7,719.56 <br /> <br />The City Manager recommends awarding the order to Vallen Safety for their low bid <br />of $7,719.56. <br /> <br />#5 - Portable Radios: Requests for Quotations were issued to three vendors for five <br />Motorola Portable radios with accessories for the fire Department. $6,100 was <br />budgeted for this purchase. The only response received is as follows: <br /> <br />St. Louis Electronics ........................................$5,508.00 <br /> <br />The City Manager recommends purchasing the radios from St. Louis Electronics for <br />their bid of $5,508.00. <br /> <br />#6 - Audit Costs: The City Manager recommends approval of an additional $11,440 <br />for completion of the annual audit by KPMG. This is in addition to the basic audit <br />price of $29,950 accepted by the City Council earlier this year and covers additional <br />costs incurred due to the inclusion of new accounts and activities and the revising of <br />procedures and standards. Most of these costs are a one time event. <br /> <br />#7 - Three Wheel Turf Truckster: Bids for providing a Three Wheel Turf Truckster <br />for the Golf Course have been received. $14,000 was budgeted for this truckster. <br />Four companies were invited to submit bids.
