This event <br />is open to the public. <br />The City needs Boards and Commission volunteers <br />. Interested individuals should contact Ms. Pumm at 505-8605 or <br />jpumm@ucitymo.org. <br />MUNICIPAL COMMISSION ON ARTS AND LETTERS-four openings <br />The Municipal Commission on Arts and Letters acts in an advisory capacity to the City <br />Council in connection with the artistic, cultural, and scholarly development within the <br />City. The Commission is charged with the task of encouraging the beautification of the <br />City and the improvement of its cultural life. There are 15 members with at least one <br />from each of the following arts or professions: painting, sculpture, literature, music, and <br />architecture. The Commission coordinates many of the City’s favorite community <br />events ranging from the photography show to music in the park. The term of the office is <br />four years. The Commission meets on the second Tuesday of the month at 7:00 PM. <br />GREEN PRACTICES- two openings <br />The Green Practices Committee acts in an advisory capacity to the City Council. The <br />GPC is in the process of developing a sustainability plan for the City and the <br />community. The sustainability plan will address Land Use, Parks, Open Space, <br />Transportation and Mobility, Air Quality, Resource Management, Green Building, <br />Habitats and Ecosystems, Energy and Renewable Energy, Water and Storm water. <br />The Committee seeks new members with expertise and/or experience or serious <br /> <br />
