Session 1732, Minutes <br />September 28, 1998 <br /> <br />#2 - Snow and Ice Control Salt: The City of Chesterfield has taken over the <br />administration of the Cooperative Salt Program. Bids were received from four <br />companies on behalf of the Salt Coop. The results are as follows: <br /> <br />Cargill Salt <br />Central Salt <br />North American Salt <br />Gunther Salt <br /> <br />$17.86 per ton <br />$18.54 per ton <br />$18.55 per ton <br />$27.50 per ton <br /> <br />The total tons required for the City is 1,500. Therefore the sum of $26,790 is required <br />to be issued to the City of Chesterfield for the purchase of the salt. Mr. Ollendorff <br />recommends accepting the low bid to the coop from Cargill Salt. <br /> <br />#3 - Site Plan Extension - 500 North & South: The City Council approved a site plan two <br />years ago for a three story apartment complex at this location. The property owner <br />requests a six month extension. While plans are being developed for a larger <br />expanded project, which will have to be approved by the Plan Commission and City <br />Council, the developer wishes to preserve this permit in case the expanded project is <br />not approved. <br /> <br />¢4 - Police Car Purchase: Invitations for Bids were issued for purchasing a 1999 <br />Chevrolet Lumina for the Police Department. The following response was received: <br /> <br />Price Trade-In Total <br /> <br />Don Brown Chevrolet <br /> <br />$19,137 $4,151 $15,t66 <br /> <br />Mr. Ollendorrf recommends purchasing this vehicle from Don Brown Chevrolet Lumina <br />for their bid of $15,166. <br /> <br />#5 - Public Hearinfl Date - Vacatinfl Easements and Ric~ht-of-Way: Mr. Ollendorff <br />recommends setting 7:30 p.m. in these chambers on October 12, 1998 as the time and <br />place for public comment on the vacating of easements and public right-of-way near <br />One McKnight Place in accordance with plans for redevelopment previously approved <br />by City Council. The appropriate bills have been prepared for introduction including full <br />legal descriptions. The proposed vacating is also in accordance with replatting <br />approved by the Plan Commission. <br /> <br />#6 -As~)halt Roller Purchase: Bids have been received to provide a vibratory asphalt <br />roller for the Street Department. $12,800 was budgeted for this purchase.
