Mr. Price moved to deny a liquor license, was seconded by Mr. Sharpe and was denied
unanimously.

CITIZEN COMMENTS
Elsie Glickert, 6712 Etzel
Ms. Glickert stated that she asked to speak on the Cunningham Park item. Mayor Adams
stated it was not an action item, so he put comments at the end of the non-action items.
Ms. Glickert asked if we are going to annex that property. Mayor Adams stated it would be
great if we could. She noted if not you might as well forget it as $50,000 has already been
given to them for Sutter Ave. and it is still not an urban county road. Ms. Glickert said she
has not heard from the administration regarding this yet. She told Mr. Price that $50,000 of
the Economic Redevelopment fund went to Wellston and this could have gone into the
revolving fund to assist the low income. Ms. Glickert asked how many on Council have
gone there and she noted that Maple Ave is a disgrace. She said that $130,000 has been
spent of the Economic Development funds for the parking lot across the street from the post
office and wanted to know if some of this money could be used. She noted Hays Ave in
Cunningham Park is also a disgrace. Ms. Glickert said that when customers of companies
in the park come to visit, they receive a bad impression of the city by the upkeep of these
roads. Why would anyone want to expand in a park like this.

Mr. Crow stated to the City Manager that some time ago he talked about the fleet
management report and would like an update on this.

J. UNFINISHED BUSINESS
BILLS
1.
BILL 9056 - An ordinance amending Chapter 9.08 of the University City Municipal Code
relating to drinking alcohol in public places.
A change made after the first reading was the addition of an exemption for neighborhood
gatherings.

Mr. Wagner moved to approve Bill 9056 and was seconded by Mr. Glickert

Roll Call Vote was:
AYES: Mr. Price, Mr. Wagner, Mr. Crow, Mr. Glickert, Mr. Sharpe, Jr., and Mayor Adams
NAYS: none

Bill 9056 became Ordinance 6801.

2.
An ordinance calling a General Obligation Bond Election in the City of University
BILL 9058 -
City, Missouri and authorizing certain actions in connection therewith.

Mr. Price moved to approve Bill 9058 and was seconded by Mr. Sharpe.

Roll Call Vote was:
AYES: Mr. Wagner, Mr. Crow, Mr. Glickert, Mr. Sharpe, Jr. Mr. Price, and Mayor Adams
NAYS: none

Bill 9058 became Ordinance 6799.

K.
