Session 1710, Minutes 10 <br />November 3, 1997 <br /> <br />Ordinance No. 61 36. <br /> <br />BILL NO. 8355 - AMENDING CHAPTER 21 OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF <br />UNIVERSITY CITY, RELATING TO MOTOR VEHICLES AND TRAFFIC, BY <br />REPEALING SECTION 21-82 THEREOF, RELATING TO STOP INTERSECTIONS, <br />AND ENACTING IN LIEU THEREOF A NEW SECTION TO BE KNOWN AS "SECTION <br />21-82. STOP INTERSECTIONS -- VEHICLES TO STOP AT CERTAIN <br />INTERSECTIONS," BY AMENDING SAID SECTION SO AS TO ESTABLISH STOP <br />SIGNS AT SPECIFIED LOCATIONS IN UNIVERSITY HEIGHTS SUBDIVISION <br />NUMBER ONE; CONTAINING A SAVING CLAUSE AND PROVIDING A PENALTY. <br /> <br />The bill was given its second reading. <br />The bill was given its third reading. <br /> <br />Mr. Schoomer moved approval. Mr. Wagner seconded the motion. The roll call <br />vote was as follows: AYES: Mr. Munkel, Mr. Wagner, Mr. Lieberman, Mr. <br />Schoomer, Mr. Sharpe, Mr. Ware and Mayor Adams. NAYS: none. Bill No. 8354 <br />became Ordinance No. 6137. <br /> <br />BILLS FOR INTRODUCTION: <br /> <br />A bill was introduced by Mr. Schoomer, entitled: <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 21 OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE , RELATING <br />TO MOTOR VEHICLES AND TRAFFIC, BY REPEALING SECTION 21-174.3 <br />THEREOF, RELATING TO THROUGH TRAFFIC PROHIBITED ON CERTAIN <br />STREETS DURING DESIGNATE HOURS, AND ENACTING IN LIEU THEREOF A <br />NEW SECTION TO BE KNOWN AS "SECTION 21-174.3. THROUGH TRAFFIC <br />PROHIBITED ON CERTAIN STREETS - AT ALL TIMES OR DURING DESIGNATED <br />HOURS," BY AMENDING SAID SECTION SO AS TO PROHIBIT THROUGH TRAFFIC <br />AT ALL TIMES ON ARCADIA STREET BETWEEN PENNSYLVANIA AND <br />PARTRIDGE AVENUES; CONTAINING A SAVING CLAUSE AND PROVIDING A <br />PENALTY. <br /> <br />The bill was assigned number 8356. <br /> <br />Mr. Lieberman did not think the next bill should be introduced because of impending <br />changes and the next public hearing. Mayor Adams responded that the bill could <br />be introduced and changes made prior to ratification. <br /> <br />A bill was introduced by Mr. Munkel as recommended by the Plan Commission and <br /> <br /> <br />
