missing meters. As always, maintenance is ongoing. Thank you to Public Works for
their assistance.
As you are aware, the Missouri Department of Transportation ~MoDaT} is planning on
replacing the bridge deck at Delmar and I-~ l0 by 20~ ~ . The bridge will be closed
during the entire construction time, which is estimated to last for four ~4} months. The
project only includes areas within MGDaT's right of way limits. The sidewalks and
sidewalk curb ramps on the bridge deck will be upgraded. The new fence, lighting and
signage on both sides of the deck will be designed to look like the new bridges on
Highway 40164 ~i.e., Gray with black lettering}. The current design of the off-ramps and
islands will not change. The railroad tracks will remain because MoDGT indicated that
the railroad tracks are underthe jurisdiction of Metro. The project's design took into
consideration the planned expansion of the Centennial Greenway expansion which will
occur next year. We will need to research the appropriateness and desire of the
Economic Development Board to utilize funds to pay upgrades to the structure. MoDaT
indicated that 100% of the cost for any enhancements would have to be paid by the
City.
An update on the full day St. Louis Regional Housing Conference Friday, April 23rd,
Creating whole Communities Conference, Shelley Poticha, Head of the office of
Sustainable Housing and Communities at the Department of Housing and Urban
Development THUD}, will be coming to the conference to discuss changing federal
policy and what it means for St. Louis.
