These trades will not be counted toward the <br />yearly maximum trades allowed as defined by operational bulletin AB-5. <br />The position of Shop Steward shall be allowed time off at no cost to the City for Union <br />business subject to the above provisions. All equipment shall be allowed to move to one Engine <br />House to conduct Union Meetings six Saturday mornings per year and at such other times when <br />agreed to by the Fire Chief and the Union. Such permission shall not be withheld arbitrarily. <br />Article IV: PREVAILING RIGHTS <br />All rights, privileges and working conditions enjoyed by the members of the Union, <br />Examples of Significance on the Attached Exhibit A, shall remain in full force and effect, <br />unaffected in any manner during the term of this Memorandum unless changed by mutual <br />consent. <br />Article V: WAGECOMPENSATION AND LONGEVITY PROGRESSION <br />Section 1. From and after July 1, 1985, all full-time non-executive, non-administrative <br />or non-professional employees shall be subject to the work week or work cycle and regulations <br />relating to overtime work except as noted. A listing of executive, administrative, and professionally <br />designated employees or positions shall be issued by the City Manager. <br />The work cycle of uniformed Fire personnel below the rank of Battalion Chief shall be 28 days or <br />216 or 240 hours in a cycle. Hours worked in excess of these totals, when authorized in advance by <br />the Fire Chief, are customarily paid at the rate of time and one-half (1-1/2) of base. Compensatory <br />time may be granted by the Fire Chief with accumulation not to exceed 480 hours. Hours worked, <br />including vacation hours, between 212 and 240 hours, in any one cycle shall be compensated for, in <br />addition to their regular rate, at one-half (½) of that employee’s regular hourly rate.
