The hourly rate for full-time Firefighters, Paramedic Firefighters, and Paramedic Fire <br />Captains who according to Section 2, have a work cycle of 28 days, shall have their hourly <br />rate computed multiplying the monthly rate plus incentive pay by 12, dividing that product <br />by 2,912. <br />Effective July 4, 1990, Holiday Allowance, Commissary Allowance and Seat Pay shall <br />be part of the base pay and shall be computed and paid with the regular pay, and have <br />been included in the Monthly Pay Step Schedule figures above. <br />Article VI: SICK LEAVE <br />Effective July 1, 1993, sick leave with pay shall be granted to all regular full-time <br />Firefighters, Paramedic Firefighters, and Paramedic Fire Captains at the rate of twelve (12) hours <br />for each full calendar month of service. Sick leave will be granted in the case of actual sickness <br />or disability of the Firefighter or Paramedic Firefighter. Unused sick leave may be accumulated <br />to total not more than forty-two (42) working days or 1008 hours. <br />Article VII: EMERGENCY LEAVE <br />In the event a physician or hospitalization is required for a member of the employee’s <br />immediate family (to be limited to Grandparents, Parents, Children, Spouse, and Domestic <br />Partner) or other emergency at home, when approved by the on-duty officer in charge, <br />emergency leave with pay may be taken under emergency circumstances, the Firefighter, <br />Paramedic Firefighter or Paramedic Fire Captain may be allowed to leave his station without <br />waiting for a relief person. Such paid leave shall be charged back against sick leave, accrued <br />comp time, or annual leave as appropriate. <br />Article VIII:DAYLIGHT SAVINGS AGREEMENT <br />Local Union 2665 and the City of University City agree that “Spring forward” and Fall <br />back” days even out over time; therefore, it is agreed that both parties would benefit from a <br />break-even status. No salary benefit will be paid or reduced from employees. <br />Article IX: CLOTHING AND LAUNDRY ALLOWANCE <br />From and after July 1, 2007, each regular full-time Firefighter and Paramedic Firefighter <br />shall receive an additional $600.00 on the first pay period in December. Such amount shall <br />represent payment by the City to each Firefighter, Paramedic Firefighter, and Paramedic Fire <br />Captain for the purchase, maintenance and cleaning of uniforms, sheets, pillow cases and bath <br />towels, and that such items will no longer be furnished to regular full-time Firefighters, <br />Paramedic Firefighters or Paramedic Fire Captains. <br />5 <br /> <br />
