paycheck an amount of Local Union 2665, IAFF dues, a monthly check in the amount of such <br />withholding shall be issued by the City payable to the Union and transmitted to the <br />representative of the Union. The City shall not be held liable, nor contribute to said dues; and <br />should an employee no longer want such a deduction taken from his/her paycheck, the City will <br />no longer make any payroll deductions for that employee for Union dues. <br />Article XXII: SENIORITY ASSIGNMENT <br />The City agrees that seniority will be a priority when considering assignments for <br />Paramedic Firefighter. The present assignment policy will be followed until such time as written <br />notice of change is properly posted. Seniority shall also be considered a priority when assigning <br />an employee that is working overtime. <br />Article XXIII: TRAINING <br />All Members of the Bargaining Unit shall be permitted time off to attend courses and <br />tests required by the State of Missouri for re-certification of EMT-P license, including <br />CEU, meetings and testing required for licensing and fire or medical related classes, <br />subject to the following conditions: <br />A.Request for such time shall be submitted to the City at the earliest possible time <br />but in no case less than two weeks before the time requested, unless above <br />minimum staffing. <br />B.As of 07/01/99 each employee shall be permitted up to 130 hours every five years <br />for personal fire or medical education leave. <br />C. As of 7/1/06 each employee shall be granted time off up to the same 130 hours <br />every five years (in B. above) for personal fire or medical education leave. <br />Course work must be approved by the Fire Chief as required in past practices. <br />Good faith and reasonable efforts should be made to avoid more than two <br />employees on leave during the same day and return to work promptly. <br />Nothing herein requires the Department to call in personnel on an overtime basis <br />nor is any type of compensation time or trading time prohibited. Use of this <br />personal medical training leave will not affect FLSA overtime. Administrative <br />Regulation #37 provides to Firefighters and Paramedic Firefighters procedures for <br />direct cost reimbursement for off duty night courses, correspondence courses, <br />courses taken for re-certification of EMT-P license. The union will be notified in <br />the event changes are made in this regulation. <br />Article XXIV: PREGNANCY DISABILITY LEAVE <br />9 <br /> <br />
