Session 1733, Minutes <br />October 12, 1998 <br /> <br />that the state change the way they license trucks, but the state has consistently said <br />that they see no reason to do so. <br /> <br />Ms. Jeannette Jefferson, 8401 Parkway Drive, is here representing the residents on <br />Laughlin and Parkway Drive. Since the last meeting, the street department did come <br />out and is now doing some work on Laughlin. It still has not been completed. The <br />resurfacing on Parkway is not adequate. They did put some tar in the cracks, but there <br />are still many potholes. They were also told that one block of trees would be trimmed. <br />She thanked Mr. Sharpe for his visit to their neighborhood and Mr. Ollendorff for his <br />correspondence in response to their request. <br /> <br />CITY CLERK'S DOCKET: <br /> <br />BILLS FOR SECOND AND THIRD READING: <br /> <br />BILL NO. 8402 - VACATING AND SURRENDERING A PORTION OF THE <br />RIGHT-OF-WAY OF WEST KINGSBURY AVENUE, NEAR ONE MCKNIGHT <br />PLACE, BLIT RESERVING ANY PUBLIC UTILITY EASEMENTS, AND <br />DIRECTING THAT THIS ORDINANCE BE RECORDED. <br /> <br />The bill was given its second reading. <br />The bill was given its third reading. <br /> <br />Responding to Mr Lieberman, the Mayor replied that the city attorney said that this was <br />not a substantial change which would require a new bill. <br /> <br />Mr. Munkel moved adoption. Mr. Lieberman seconded the motion. The roll call vote <br />was as follows: AYES: Ms. Colquitt, Mr. Munkel, Mr. Wagner, Mr. Lieberman, Mr. <br />Schoomer, Mr. Sharpe, Mayor Adams. Bill 8402 became Ordinance 6184. <br /> <br />BILL NO. 8403 - VACATING AND SURRENDERING A UTILITY EASEMENT IN <br />LOT 22 OF BARBY LANE, NEAR ONE MCKNIGHT PLACE, AND DIRECTING <br />THAT THIS ORDINANCE BE RECORDED. <br /> <br />The bill was given its second reading. <br />The bill wa.. given its third reading. <br /> <br />Mr. Lieberman moved adoption.
