Mr. Munkel seconded the motion, which carried unanimously.

CONSENT CALENDAR (6 ITEMS):

# I - Snow and Ice Control Salt: Bids were received by the City of Chesterfield for
supplying approximately 1,500 tons of salt to University City as a part of the
cooperative salt purchase program. The cost of the salt has been established at
$19.87 per ton. This is an increase of $1.65 per ton over last year. Mr. Ollendorff
recommends obtaining the sale from the City of Chesterfield under the cooperative
salt program for a total of $29,805.00.

#2 - Contract Leaf Collection: Bids have been taken for assisting with leaf collection
by private contractors. Mr. Ollendorff recommends contracting with Pace Co. for a
total of $32,640 based on their good workmanship last year and low bid. He
further recommends contracting with Gerber Co. for a total amount of $4,680
during the short period of time when leaf collection is at its heaviest. The total
cost requires a transfer from contingency of $8,000.
