Session 1708, Minutes 6 <br />October 13, 1997 <br /> <br />Mr. Ollendorff recommends accepting Ferguson Roofing's low bid of $51,964.00. <br /> <br />#5- (Removed from Consent Galendar) <br /> <br />#6 - Public Hearing - Zoning Code: Mr. Ollendorff recommends setting 7:30 p.m. on <br />November 3, 1997 in these Council Chambers as the time and place for a Public <br />Hearing on the new Zoning Code recommended by the Plan Commission. Copies <br />are available in the City Clerk's Office. This new Code is the excellent result of <br />hundreds of work hours by City staff, consultants and Plan Commission members. <br />City Council previously reviewed and approved the draft outline. <br /> <br />#7 - installation of Ceramic and Vinyl Tile at Heman Park Community Center: Six <br />flooring companies were invited to submit bids for special flooring for the <br />Community Center. $6,200.00 was budgeted. The following bids were received: <br /> <br />Colonial Rug Co. <br /> <br />$7,515.00 <br /> <br />St. Louis Tile and Carpet <br /> <br />$5,778.00 <br /> <br />Mr. Ollendorff recommends accepting St. Louis Tile and Carpet's low bid of <br />$5,775.00. <br /> <br />Mr. Schoomer moved adoption of the consent calendar. Mr. Munkel seconded the <br />motion, which carried unanimously. <br /> <br />CONSENT CALENDAR - ITEM ,'¢5: <br /> <br />Mr. Ollendorff said that this item was removed from the consent calendar in order <br />for it to discussed. <br /> <br />Mr. Ollendorff said that he recommended approval of an increase in the entry fee to <br />non-residents entering the Recreation Facility by requiring the payment of the $2.00 <br />fitness room fee in addition to the $5.00 admissions fee. This increase would <br />change the entry fee for non-residents from $5.00 to $7.00. Non-residents <br />currently are only required to pay a $5.00 fee to gain entry to the facility, which <br />includes access to the fitness room. If they wish to gain entry to the game room <br />an additional $1 .O0 fee is required. <br /> <br />Mr. Munkel said that he asked to have this item removed from the consent <br /> <br /> <br />
